At the July meeting, which was very well attended, Paul Roff of Autodents Ltd gave us a demonstration of his Paintless Dent Removal. Paul set up a car door, which he hit hard with a mallet to produce a real dent. Using special tools, he proceeded to remove the dent, working it out very gently from the inside of the door. This process originated in the U.S.A around 30 years ago and Paul has been using it for the last 13 years.
This service is offered to customers on a “no fix no fee basis” as it is not suitable for all dents or if the paintwork is already damaged. After a successful repair there is no need for any painting of the repaired panel. This demonstration was of great interest to the audience who had the bonus of a special offer of a reduced charge, if booking a repair that evening.
