A range of new MG branded items was auctioned by 1020 at the start of 2021 with all proceeds going into the club’s charity fund.
Towards the end of last year the club was contacted by Michael Jones, who lives near Shaftesbury, offering a selection of MG parts and accessories which he was clearing out of his garage. A multiple MG owner in the past, these ranged from parts for pre-war and post-war MGs through to accessories for MGFs and Mike generously offered them for free.
A number of the items were sold directly and raised £90. The remainder (mainly the parts suitable for older models) were taken on by Mike Rolls in exchange for a collection of new MG branded goodies (with a total retail value of £192) and it is these that were auctioned.
The individual items are illustrated and listed below. Each item comes with a short description and the normal retail value plus the successful top bid – there will be a reserve price on each item and bidding closed on 12 March 2021 with an additional £152 raised for the charity fund.
