The 1020 big event of the year, our Annual Gathering and Picnic took place at Athelhampton House near Dorchester on Sunday 15 August.
We were joined by clubs from around the region from as far away as Newbury and Chichester plus our special guests from the Dorset Morris Minor Owners Club.
In total around 170 cars and 300 people took part in the day and through various activities we raised in excess of £1,900 for our charities, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Macmillan Caring Locally
My personal thanks got to all our club members who gave up their time and came early in the morning (in the rain) to set the event up, to man the stalls and organise the parking throughout the day. Also thanks to our trade sponsors who came along and set-up displays of their products and services.
Congratulations to Winchester MGOC member Peter Smithson who took home the Car of the Day trophy for his immaculate MG Magnette Varitone as voted by fellow MG owners.
