The pristine and much admired 1950s MGTF of club member Martin Harris from Milford-on-Sea was voted the car of the night at July’s ‘Pride of Ownership’ gathering held in near-perfect evening sunshine at Hamworthy Sports Club.
More than 40 members brought along their cars both classic and modern with a large line-up of MGBs, V8s, MGFs and TFs as well as the occasional Midget and a scattering of MGAs.
However, Martin’s TF was the clear winner of the popular vote and collected the perpetual tankard from last year’s winner Colin Archer and his prize of a bag of goodies from event sponsor Wayne Healey
During the evening Wayne gave a master class in car cleaning and how to revive tired and faded paintwork.
