Another road run organised for us by Dave Bailey and George Parrott with an interesting route to Henstridge Airfield the home of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, one of the major charities supported by the club. Unfortunately for us the helicopter was out on a call and we were unable to see it close up. We were provided with a marquee for our group lunch. The pre ordered meals were very good and exceeded our expectations. Val Dyson, one the charities volunteers gave us a short talk on the logistics of the charity and also sold various items of merchandise to raise money for the charity. At the end of the afternoon, on leaving, we were treated to a processional drive up the runway, some at high speed.
