Robin Cook entertained us for over an hour recounting stories of his working life in Harrods. Starting out as a trainee, he progressed through the ranks of many of the individual sections of the store to become one of the youngest departmental buyers. He recounted amusing anecdotes of some of the characters working in the store and of the underground storage facilities, which were very extensive and in some cases were named roads. His talk and humour were much appreciated by the audience.
