We arranged for our spring run this year to coincide once again with National Drive it Day. Over 30 cars assembled at Avon Heath Country Park for the 43 mile morning run. The route took us through stunning countryside, with masses of bluebells and oil seed rape to brighten the somewhat changeable weather. Our lunch stop was at the Horns Inn, booked exclusively for us, where we enjoyed an excellent meal.
The afternoon section of the run, 30 miles in brilliant sunshine, ended for many at a large garden centre where we enjoyed afternoon tea and cakes. We did not see as many classics out on the road this year as in previous years; perhaps the weather in the morning had something to do with it. Stefan Morawiec aided by his wife Jackie and son Peter took over the organisation of this run and we congratulate and thank them for all their hard work during the preparations and on the day.
