Following the atrocious weather of the last two months the Winter Run took place in bright sunshine without rain or high winds. This run, organised by Chris Adamson and Pat Lodge, started from Phoenix Classic Cars workshop at Holton Heath. Tea, coffee and biscuits were on offer to all participants before the start. Leaving Holton Heath we followed a circuitous route of 40 miles to our lunch stop at The Manor Hotel in West Bexington where 78 members enjoyed an excellent lunch. The 40 mile afternoon run ended at The Barn Café in Lytchett Minster for those who wished to follow the route. Chris and Pat are to be congratulated for their planning in the face of such poor weather; they drove the route four times, the last time being the day before to check the latest situation. Subsequently, route revisions were required as there were road restrictions due to fallen trees and flooding on the original route.
