1020 at Athelhampton House – 2006 was great – now it’s 07 !

The Athelhampton House MG Gathering & Picnic in 2007 has now been confirmed for the 12th of August, so mark it into your diary today!  After the superb "WWII" Themed event in 2006 , this year it will be wind up gramophones instead of a 20 piece Swing Band and Garden party attire instead of Armed Forces uniforms.
It will be cucumber sandwiches and not Spam "G.I.Suppers" !!

Nigel says : "Derek and Paula DeReuck’s immense contibutions led to 2006 Athelhampton being a superb and stunning stand out moment in 1020 history , underlined by the Dorset Military Trust support with 20 WWII vehicles of all shapes and sizes….

It was a huge task to consider how on earth we would improve on 2005. But they did !
They contacted the Swing Band that played at Highcliffe Castle , called ‘Swing Unlimited’.

Check out “Swing Unlimited Big Band” , they are a hugely professional `Glenn Miller’ style swing band and you absolutely must not miss them! Be sure to <click> on their website where you can listen to sound bites and perhaps even check them out at a concert before next year.

The ‘theme’ for the 2007 event is "GARDEN PARTY" , so much more genteel. Bring a picnic but full restaurant facilities are available to Athelhampton House.
