A fantastic day in a fantastic venue with fantastic weather!
The day was summed up by the ex-Terry Waite MGB Roadster custodian Derek DeReuck when he shook my hand and said sincerely "Day of Days, mate." It surely was.
Our web gurus will ensure in short time that the fullest of reports and ‘picture gallery’ of the day will follow on this site.
Please find time to submit YOUR thoughts and observations of the day………….
My sincerest thanks, personally, to ALL the 1020ers who did such a fabulous job on the day.
Nigel

The final tally, according to the gate receipts, was 310 cars, by far the highest ever attendance at Athelhampton! Thank you to everyone, 1020 members or otherwise*, for making this such a successful event, both in terms of bringing so many owners together and in raising such a huge amount of cash for two very worthy causes (Dorset Scope & Y Care).
Clubs present include (God, I hope I don’t miss any), in no particular order: Bournemouth & Poole MGOC, Newbury MGOC, Solent MGOC, Chichester MGOC, Winchester MGOC, Dorset Midget & Sprite Club, New Forest MGOC, Salisbury MGOC, Dorchester MGOC, Exeter MGOC, Burnley & Pendle MGOC, Epsom MGOC, Reading MGOC, (more to be added as I remember them). A massive spread – the record travelled, being over 300 miles!!!
Once again, many, many thanks.
